The Making of an Artifact
Every Trillobeat piece moves through the same journey before it reaches your hands — from a first idea to a finished object you can wear for years. Here’s what that journey actually looks like, step by step.
01 — Concept & Vision
It starts with an idea — a symbol, a concept, a fragment of meaning waiting to find its shape. That meaning first appears as a vision: an inner image of what the piece could become, its structure, its character, its presence — before it ever takes physical form.
02 — Digital Sculpting
This is where the vision takes its detailed three-dimensional form. Texture, depth and complex organic shapes are sculpted with digital tools — forms that would be nearly impossible to achieve through traditional wax carving alone. Every curve, surface and hidden detail is shaped here before the piece appears in the physical world.
03 — Prototyping
The digital sculpture is prepared for production and printed as a castable wax prototype — the first physical version of the artifact. At this stage, every surface, proportion and detail is carefully checked, because even the smallest flaw can follow the piece into metal.
04 — Casting
The wax prototype is invested and cast in sterling silver or gold using the lost-wax method — one of the oldest jewelry-making techniques, now paired with the precision of digital sculpting and modern studio tools. This is the moment the artifact takes form in metal.
05 — Cleaning & Polishing
Fresh from casting, a piece is rough — sprues and marks are filed away, edges refined. Then hand polishing brings out the final surface: high points catch the light while recesses stay in shadow, giving each piece its depth and contrast.
06 — Stone Setting
Gemstones are a universe of their own. For pieces with stones, we select natural gemstones from trusted suppliers around the world — chosen not only for their color and quality, but also for the character and symbolic meaning they bring to the artifact. Once the metalwork is finished, each stone is carefully set by hand, secured, aligned and checked before final inspection.
07 — Final Quality Control
Every piece is checked before it ships — fit, finish, stone security, surface quality. Only then is it ready to leave the studio.
From Our Hands to Yours
Every Trillobeat piece passes through real hands at every one of these steps — there’s no shortcut version. That’s part of what you’re holding when you wear one.
