Design and symbolism
The skull is covered with flowing geometric lines inspired by the visual language of the Shipibo-Conibo people of the Peruvian Amazon. The pattern transforms the anatomical form into a dense symbolic surface associated with nature, perception and the spiritual world.
Gemstones set into the skull add focused points of color to the dark oxidized silver. Each ring is cast, engraved, oxidized, polished and stone-set by hand, so small variations are part of the handmade process.
